Islamabad, October 25, 2025: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to table a no-confidence motion in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly, party sources confirmed on Saturday.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the PPP AJK parliamentary group, chaired by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The session was attended by Faryal Talpur, president of the PPP Women’s Wing, along with senior leaders Sardar Qamar Zaman, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan.

Participants reviewed the overall political situation in the valley, public issues, and strategies to strengthen the party’s organizational structure in the region.

According to sources, PPP AJK leaders presented various proposals regarding the prevailing political scenario to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while prominent figures including Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, and Faisal Mumtaz Rathore also joined the deliberations.

It was decided that any potential change in government or the formation of a new setup in Azad Kashmir will be finalized by President Asif Ali Zardari, who will also approve the candidate for the next AJK Prime Minister.
