Islamabad, November 15, 2025: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, said the upcoming Ajtma-e-Aam at Minar-e-Pakistan, scheduled from November 21 to 23 under the slogan “Change the System”, will serve as a powerful demonstration of national unity and Ummah solidarity. He added that the convention is expected to surpass all previous records of public participation and mark a decisive milestone toward systemic change in Pakistan.

Addressing a review meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Rawalpindi district officials, Dr. Tariq Saleem said thousands from northern Punjab would attend and reaffirm their support for Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman’s peaceful struggle for citizens’ rights and governance reform. He urged citizens committed to a safe, prosperous, and developed Pakistan to join the movement.

The meeting was also attended by Ameer JI Rawalpindi Syed Arif Shirazi, Secretary General Usman Akash, Rizwan Khan, Raja Jawad, and other district leaders.

Criticizing the 27th Amendment, Dr. Tariq Saleem described it as unconstitutional and un-Islamic, asserting Jamaat-e-Islami’s firm rejection. He stressed that neither the resignation of the Field Marshal nor the President is justifiable and highlighted the example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the Companions, who remained accountable to the public and courts. He said parties seeking to distort the Constitution are motivated by hereditary politics and personal interests, contrary to both Islamic principles and Pakistan’s legal framework.

Syed Arif Shirazi urged Jamaat-e-Islami workers to mobilize citizens and encourage broad participation in the Minar-e-Pakistan event. He called the Ajtma-e-Aam the launching point of a national struggle to dismantle a corrupt system and emphasized that it aims to protect basic rights, establish an Islamic governance framework, and ensure a dignified life for all citizens.
