Peshawar, November 22,2025Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that “anyone who kills Pakistani soldiers is a terrorist,” stressing that eliminating militant elements remains the province’s only viable option. He vowed that law and order in KP would not be compromised under any circumstances.

Speaking to reporters, Afridi said the KP Police are fully capable of combating terrorism. He announced the purchase of modern security equipment and confirmed plans to establish a dedicated forensic laboratory in the province. The chief minister said police and security forces have the training and resources needed to respond effectively to evolving threats.

Afridi urged the federal government to release pending dues owed to the province, arguing that adequate funds would significantly improve essential services, including policing and healthcare. He also welcomed accountability measures, saying he would support audits “even if they involve my family,” and insisted that anyone involved in corruption must be held responsible.

The chief minister praised the performance of the current Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police, noting that political differences must not interfere with public service delivery. He encouraged government officials to continue their work without disruption.

Afridi acknowledged that terrorism has impacted every sector in KP. He directed provincial authorities to strengthen anti-terrorism laws and close legal loopholes, promising strict enforcement to ensure public safety and uphold justice.
