Islamabad, October 21,2024-National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has called for the disqualification of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Adil Bazai for failing to cast his vote on a recent constitutional amendment. Sadiq has urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to declare Bazai’s seat vacant.

In a letter sent to the Election Commission, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that Adil Bazai should be disqualified for his absence from the assembly during the crucial vote. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif had earlier sent a reference against Bazai to the Speaker, demanding action.

It is worth noting that Adil Bazai had initially joined PML-N but later switched his allegiance to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In his letter, the Speaker has reiterated the urgency of Bazai’s disqualification and requested that the seat be vacated immediately.Bottom of Form
