Lahore, December 1, 2025: President of the EU Harmonization Committee and Member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Burhan Kayaturk, along with a parliamentary delegation, called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore on Monday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues to strengthen bilateral relations, with a particular focus on economic cooperation, environmental initiatives, and parliamentary engagement.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for establishing long-term, institutional linkages between the parliamentary delegations and legislatures of Pakistan and Turkiye. She said Pakistan values Turkish investment and expertise in sectors including construction, energy, rural planning, logistics, and mining.

Highlighting future areas of collaboration, the chief minister noted that joint work on climate-related legislation, local governance reforms, and youth empowerment would add “a new dimension” to Pakistan–Turkiye relations.
