Turkish Energy Minister meets COAS, discusses expanding Pak–Turkiye cooperation

Rawalpindi, December 2, 2025: Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkiye Alparslan Bayraktar met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday at General Headquarters (GHQ) to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, including enhanced Pak–Turkiye collaboration in energy, broader strategic engagement, and efforts to promote regional stability.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening partnership in areas of shared objectives.

The COAS emphasised the “deep-rooted and historic brotherly relations” between Pakistan and Turkiye, expressing gratitude for Ankara’s consistent support to Pakistan at regional and international forums.

Minister Bayraktar conveyed Turkiye’s intent to further expand cooperation across the energy sector and acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions toward regional peace, stability, and sustainable development.
