Misbah Khar, UAE envoy reaffirm commitment to strengthen Pakistan–UAE ties

Islamabad, December 19, 2025: Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate, held a meeting on Friday with H.E. Salem Mohammad Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, at the UAE Embassy in Islamabad, during which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE.

The two sides underscored the depth of bilateral ties rooted in shared values, mutual trust and longstanding cooperation. Ms. Misbah Khar said Pakistan attached great importance to its close relationship with the UAE and expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations.

Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas including trade, investment and energy. Ms. Khar highlighted the vast potential for expanding economic collaboration and welcomed increased UAE investment in Pakistan’s priority sectors, terming it vital for sustainable growth and development.

Parliamentary cooperation was identified as an important pillar of bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to promote exchanges of parliamentary delegations and strengthen institutional linkages between the legislatures of the two countries to foster greater mutual understanding and cooperation.

The meeting also reviewed the successful hosting of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) in Islamabad. Ms. Khar appreciated the UAE’s participation in the conference and noted that such platforms played a key role in deepening parliamentary diplomacy and collaboration among friendly countries.

Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to maintain close coordination and work together to further broaden and deepen Pakistan–UAE relations across all spheres for the mutual benefit of the two brotherly nations.

The UAE Ambassador conveyed warm regards and best wishes to the leadership and people of Pakistan and reiterated his country’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
