Islamabad, December 24, 2025: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev on December 23 delivered a lecture to students at the Pakistan Foreign Service Academy, sharing insights into the evolving dynamics of Russia–Pakistan relations and key regional developments.

During his address, Ambassador Khorev briefed future Pakistani diplomats on major milestones in bilateral ties and recent progress in political and economic cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad. He highlighted the steady advancement of dialogue between the two countries across multiple areas of mutual interest.

The Russian envoy also updated the students on the situation in and around Ukraine, outlining what he described as the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis and the role of Western countries in destabilising the broader Eurasian region.

Concluding his lecture, Ambassador Khorev wished the students—prospective members of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, success in their future diplomatic careers and service to the country.

Later, the Russian ambassador, along with Director General of the Foreign Service Academy Syed Ali Asad Gillani, participated in a tree-planting ceremony on the academy’s premises.
