Islamabad, December 30, 2025: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday met Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi to review the prevailing law and order situation in the province, with a particular focus on border security and ongoing counterterrorism operations.

During the meeting, the KP governor briefed the interior minister on the security challenges facing the province. The two leaders discussed security measures in KP’s border areas and the progress of operations against Khawarij and their facilitators.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirmed the federal government’s full support to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in maintaining peace and stability, stating that ensuring law and order in the province remains a top priority. He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the people of KP in the fight against terrorism and emphasized that the elimination of Fitna-al-Khawarij was being pursued through coordinated and joint efforts.

“No leniency will be shown towards Khawarij and their facilitators,” the interior minister said, underscoring the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stressed that strong federal cooperation was essential for the restoration and maintenance of peace in the province. He called for coordinated and joint measures between the federal and provincial governments to effectively counter terrorism and strengthen security across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
