Islamabad, January 2, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to review ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and Iran across multiple sectors.
The meeting focused on assessing the current state of bilateral engagement and explored ways to further enhance economic and trade ties between the two neighboring countries.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening relations with Iran, the deputy prime minister emphasized deepening cooperation in key priority areas of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Secretary Petroleum, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant ministries.
