Dar expresses satisfaction over Sugar Stocks, Price Decline

Islamabad, January 2, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Friday expressed satisfaction over the current stock position of sugar and the downward trend in prices during a high-level meeting.

Chairing the meeting, the deputy prime minister directed all relevant departments to ensure that sugarcane farmers receive fair prices for their produce, alongside maintaining market stability.

The meeting was attended by Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain via video link, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, and senior officials from concerned departments.
