Islamabad, January 7, 2026: Iqra University Islamabad (H-9 Campus) on Wednesday successfully hosted IQRA CONNECT 2026 – University Job Fair, a flagship initiative of the Career Services Office aimed at strengthening academia–industry collaboration and enhancing graduate employability.

Held under the theme “Your Career, Your Journey: From Classroom to Industry,” the event brought together 85 national and multinational companies, providing students with opportunities for recruitment, professional networking, career counseling and direct industry exposure. Students from eight academic departments actively participated and interacted with corporate representatives throughout the day.

A major highlight of the job fair was the Student Project Exhibition, where 36 innovative projects were showcased by students from the Fashion and Textile Department, Computing and Technology, Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, and Media Studies. The projects reflected students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities and alignment with industry needs.

The inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Main Lawn and was graced by President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Mr. Usman Shaukat, as the chief guest. The event was led by Mr. Badar Abbas Shah, Incharge Career Services Office, along with senior university leadership, including Deans Dr. Eatzaz Ahmad, Dr. Sajid Bashir and Dr. Adnan Sohail. All heads of departments were also present, underscoring the university’s strong commitment to career development.

During the event, nine Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Iqra University and participating organizations to promote long-term collaboration in recruitment, internships, training and industry engagement.

The Award Distribution Ceremony featured the PRIME BPO Innovation Award, under which outstanding student projects were recognized and cash prizes awarded to top-performing teams, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship and experiential learning.

The event also included on-site interviews, mock interview sessions, recruitment activities, and concluded with an entertainment segment, drawing strong participation from students, faculty and industry partners.

IQRA CONNECT 2026 concluded as a highly impactful initiative, reaffirming Iqra University Islamabad’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, and preparing students for successful professional careers.
