Pakistan issues travel advisory for Iran, urges citizens to avoid non-essential travel

Islamabad, January 10, 2026: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday issued a travel advisory for Pakistani nationals, urging them to avoid all unnecessary travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran until the situation improves.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said the advisory has been issued in the interest of the safety and security of Pakistani citizens. Those already residing in Iran have been advised to exercise extreme caution, remain vigilant, and limit their movement to essential travel only.

Pakistani nationals in Iran have also been urged to stay in regular contact with Pakistan’s diplomatic missions for updates and assistance. The ministry shared the following contact details for Pakistani missions in Iran:

The Foreign Office said Pakistani missions in Iran remain available to provide assistance and support to nationals in case of any emergency.
