Islamabad, January 15,2026: Advisor to Chairman Senate and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), Ms. Misbah Khar, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Islamabad and exchanged views on Pakistan–UAE bilateral relations.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation in investment, trade, and broader economic opportunities. Emphasis was placed on further strengthening collaboration across diverse sectors to unlock mutual benefits and promote sustainable economic growth.

Ms. Misbah Khar underscored that Pakistan greatly values its close and time-tested relations with the UAE, which are rooted in shared history, mutual respect, and strong people-to-people bonds. She highlighted the importance of high-level exchanges and sustained engagement at multiple levels, including government-to-government, people-to-people, and parliament-to-parliament interactions, to further deepen bilateral ties.

The UAE Ambassador congratulated Ms. Misbah Khar on the successful hosting of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) in Islamabad last November and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting parliamentary diplomacy. Both sides agreed that parliamentary exchanges have proven to be a fruitful means of bringing people closer and strengthening mutual understanding.
