Islamabad, January 15,2026: Muhammad Akhtar Abbas Khan, Director of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), has been assigned additional responsibilities within the Ministry of National Health, official orders have confirmed.

According to the details, he will now also serve as the Secretary of the Nursing Council of Pakistan, a subordinate body under the Ministry of National Health. The written orders assigning these additional duties were issued with the approval of the President of the Nursing Council.

This appointment highlights the Ministry’s confidence in Director Akhtar Abbas Khan’s administrative capabilities and aims to strengthen coordination between DRAP and the Nursing Council
