Islamabad, January 15, 2026: The Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have welcomed the announcement of the formation of the National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip (NCAG) on January 14, 2026. The NCAG has been established as a temporary transitional body pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution 2803, within the framework of the second phase of the Comprehensive Peace Plan and in coordination with the Palestinian Authority.

The Ministers emphasized the importance of the NCAG commencing its duties to manage the day-to-day affairs of the people of Gaza while preserving institutional and territorial links between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, ensuring the unity of Gaza, and rejecting any attempts to divide the territory.

They expressed full support for the second phase of U.S. President Trump’s peace plan, appreciating his leadership and efforts to end the war in Gaza, ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces, prevent annexation of occupied West Bank areas, and advance peace in the region.

The Ministers underlined the need to consolidate the ceasefire, prevent violations, and guarantee unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. They also called for early recovery and reconstruction efforts across the Strip and for preparing the return of the Palestinian Authority to assume its responsibilities, paving the way for a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace.

The statement reaffirmed commitment to achieving peace in accordance with UN resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the two-State solution, aiming to end the occupation of all Palestinian territories in Gaza and the West Bank and to establish an independent Palestinian State on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
