Islamabad, January 18, 2026: Under the auspices of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a Community Organic Market was successfully held at F-7 Gol Market, Islamabad, drawing a large turnout of citizens, especially families.
The initiative aimed to provide residents with access to fresh, high-quality organic food while promoting a culture of healthy living and community engagement. The market featured a variety of organic food stalls alongside recreational and educational activities for children, creating a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Inam Fatima, Chief Officer of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, highlighted the broader social objectives of such initiatives. “Strengthening social bonds and bringing communities closer together is the true purpose behind public initiatives like this,” she said. “Community-based events foster interaction, build mutual trust, and promote a sense of collective responsibility—key elements of a healthy and progressive society. Encouraging families to visit parks and public spaces helps develop an active, socially connected, and responsible community.”
Participants praised the initiative, calling it a positive step toward family-oriented recreation and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. Parents noted that such events not only provide safe and interactive environments but also help cultivate social awareness among children.
CDA officials reiterated that the core goal of organizing these events is to encourage citizens to utilize public spaces for positive social interaction while fostering healthy community development.
