Islamabad, October 27, 2024 – On the 77th anniversary of Indian troops’ arrival in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. Pakistani leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, pledged continued moral, political, and diplomatic backing for Kashmir’s cause.

The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister has sent letters to UN and OIC leaders, urging action on human rights concerns in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), including the release of political prisoners. Additionally, the Foreign Secretary briefed Islamabad-based diplomats on the dispute’s legal and human rights aspects.

In solidarity, a ‘Solidarity Walk’ was held in Islamabad, led by key government officials. Nationwide events—including rallies, seminars, and exhibitions—are being held to honor Kashmiris’ struggle, with Pakistan’s global diplomatic missions raising international awareness.Bottom of Form
