Islamabad, January 22, 2026: Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan, on Thursday paid courtesy calls to his counterparts from Kenya and Rwanda in Islamabad to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional development.
At the Kenyan High Commission, Ambassador Oba met Lt Gen (Retd) Peter Mbogo Njiru, High Commissioner of Kenya, where the two sides exchanged views on mutual interests and explored avenues to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation between Ethiopia and Kenya.
In a separate meeting with Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of Rwanda, Ambassador Oba discussed matters of regional importance and explored ways to strengthen regional ties between Ethiopia and Rwanda.
During both meetings, Ambassador Oba briefed his counterparts on key initiatives by the Ethiopian government aimed at promoting regional integration and advancing the principles of pan-Africanism, highlighting Ethiopia’s commitment to collaborative development across the continent.
These engagements underscore Ethiopia’s ongoing efforts to reinforce diplomatic, economic, and regional partnerships in line with its strategic vision for Africa.
