President Zardari approves seven key bills, completing legislative process

Islamabad, January 26, 2026: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday approved seven bills passed by Parliament, completing the legislative process for a range of measures covering trade, taxation, social protection, education, railways, and human rights.

The approved legislation includes The National Tariff Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2026; The Export Development Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2026; The Transfer of Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2026; The Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Bill, 2026; The Daanish Schools Authority Bill, 2026; The Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026; and The National Commission for Human Rights (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

Officials said the approval of these bills marks the completion of the parliamentary process and paves the way for their implementation, with the aim of strengthening governance frameworks, improving social protection mechanisms, and supporting economic and institutional reforms across multiple sectors.
