London, January 29, 2026: The Pakistan High Commission, London, in collaboration with the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) Students’ Union Pakistan Development Society, organized an interactive session titled “Rising Importance of Pakistan on the Global Stage.”
The session was attended by international students from various LSE departments, alongside students from Imperial College, University College London, Queen Mary University, University of Warwick, King’s College London, and other leading educational institutions, as well as officers of the Pakistan High Commission.
In his keynote address, High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal highlighted Pakistan’s growing global significance, citing its geo-strategic location, expanding economy, investment potential, robust defense capabilities, and a large youth population.
Dr. Faisal referred to Pakistan’s resilience during the recent conflict with India in Marka-e-Haq and the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, noting that the unity of the nation enabled it to confront a larger adversary with greater resources. He emphasized that Pakistan’s leadership, through progressive and self-reliant policies, continues to project Pakistan as a nation committed to peace.
Addressing the youth, the High Commissioner urged Pakistani students to equip themselves with skills and knowledge to effectively contribute to the country’s progress in a rapidly evolving global environment.
The interactive session also included discussions on Pakistan’s foreign policy priorities, economic reform agenda, and the critical role of youth in national prosperity.
Students expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner and his team for providing the unique opportunity to share their experiences while studying at some of London’s most prestigious universities.
