Islamabad, February 8, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the latter conveyed condolences over the tragic loss of lives in the mosque bomb blast in Islamabad.
Fidan expressed heartfelt sympathies on behalf of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, himself, and the people of Türkiye, reaffirming solidarity with Pakistan in this difficult time.
Dar thanked the Turkish leadership for their support and emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to combat terrorism and ensure the protection of its citizens.
The two leaders also exchanged views on bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest, as well as key regional and international developments.
