Islamabad, September 7, 2026: Signature Impact (Pvt) Limited, a company specialising in leadership development, marketing solutions and education, observed Defence Day with a simple ceremony at its office to honour the supreme sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem.
Engr Dr Muhammad Afzal, CEO of Signature Impact, paid rich tribute to the martyrs, saying their sacrifices formed the foundation of Pakistan. He also recalled the martyrdom of his father during the 1965 war.
He said the valiant deeds of the nation’s forefathers were not merely chapters of history but a living legacy that placed a profound responsibility on the present generation to safeguard the country.
Renowned journalist Fariha Idrees, who attended the ceremony as a special guest, also paid homage to the martyrs.
“Our shuhada are enduring symbols of courage, sacrifice and national resolve. Their legacy reminds us that the defence of our motherland is a sacred trust, which we shall continue to uphold with steadfast commitment,” she said.
In his concluding remarks, Adnan Mukhtan, CEO, offered Fateha in remembrance of the martyrs of the 1965 and 1971 wars and Marka-e-Haq. He thanked the participants for attending the ceremony.
The event concluded with the cutting of a cake specially prepared for the occasion.
