Islamabad, September 6, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, veterans and Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on the occasion of Air Force Day, commending their courage, professionalism and sacrifices in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty, airspace and national security.
The Speaker said the PAF’s performance during the 1965 war, despite limited resources, remained a proud chapter of Pakistan’s national history. He paid tribute to Air Marshal Noor Khan for his exemplary leadership and Squadron Leader M.M. Alam for his extraordinary courage and remarkable performance in aerial combat.
He said the sacrifices rendered by PAF personnel during the war continued to inspire generations.
Referring to the May 2025 Marka-e-Haq, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said the PAF once again demonstrated exceptional professionalism, operational preparedness and effective use of modern technology while responding to Indian aggression.
“From the Shaheens of 1965 to the defenders of Marka-e-Haq, the PAF’s history is a testament to courage, sacrifice and devotion to the motherland,” he said.
The Speaker also appreciated the PAF’s role in rescue and relief operations during natural disasters and emergencies, saying its continued professional development, technological advancement and enhanced defence capabilities were further strengthening Pakistan’s national security.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Pakistan was a peaceful and responsible country committed to regional peace and stability, but there would be no compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security.
He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for peace, security, prosperity and stability in Pakistan.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also paid tribute to the PAF martyrs, veterans and Shaheens, saying that from the 1965 war to Marka-e-Haq, the PAF had continued to defend the motherland with courage, professionalism and exceptional combat capabilities.
He said the bravery displayed by PAF Shaheens in 1965 and their effective operations during Marka-e-Haq in May 2025 demonstrated that Pakistan’s defenders remained fully prepared to meet every challenge.
The Deputy Speaker said the sacrifices and services of PAF personnel were a source of pride for the nation and an inspiration for future generations.
He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, patience and steadfastness for their bereaved families, and lasting peace, prosperity and stability for Pakistan.
