Islamabad; February 13, 2026: Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its leader, Mr. Tarique Rahman, on their victory in the general elections of Bangladesh.

In his felicitation message, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Tarique Rahman and the leadership of the BNP. He stated that securing a resounding mandate reflects the confidence and trust reposed by the people of Bangladesh in their leadership.

NA Speaker observed that the conduct of peaceful and transparent elections in Bangladesh is a positive sign for the strengthening of democratic values and institutions in the region.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to fostering strong and cordial ties, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed his resolve to further enhance the historic, brotherly, and multifaceted relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He emphasized that closer interaction between the Parliaments of the two countries would contribute significantly to deepening mutual trust and cooperation.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed his desire to work closely with the newly elected government of Bangladesh to promote public and parliamentary exchanges.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq underscored that Pakistan and Bangladesh have an important shared role to play in ensuring peace, stability, and development in South Asia.
