Islamabad, February 17, 2026: Ambassador of Portugal Frederico Silva, along with members of the Portuguese Embassy, joined fellow ambassadors and senior diplomats from Malaysia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nepal, and Turkmenistan on Tuesday visited the shrine of Hazrat Pir Muhammad Karam Shah at Pir Khara Sharif.
The diplomatic delegation was warmly received by Tariq Pirzada, the custodian of the shrine, who briefed the visitors on the rich Sufi heritage of South Asia. He highlighted the region’s long-standing traditions rooted in the values of peace, tolerance, compassion, and service to humanity.
During the visit, the ambassadors also observed the tradition of Langar, which reflects the spirit of inclusivity, equality, and communal harmony for people from all walks of life.
The visit concluded with a tour of the scenic Pir Khara Sharif valley and the Salt Range, showcasing the region’s cultural richness and natural beauty.
