Jeddah, February 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday strongly condemned Israel’s latest measures to convert areas of the occupied West Bank into what he described as so-called state property, calling them a step toward de facto annexation.

Addressing an extraordinary ministerial session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee at the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah, Senator Dar highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in advancing the Palestinian cause, including its role as a member of the United Nations Security Council, the Board of Peace, and the Group of Eight Arab-Islamic countries.

He urged the OIC to ensure the reversal of all Israeli actions aimed at annexation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, strict adherence to the ceasefire in Gaza, and the immediate reconstruction of the war-affected enclave. He also called for a time-bound political process for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

In addition, the foreign minister called on the OIC to intensify efforts for the realization of the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people, reiterating Pakistan’s longstanding position on the dispute.

The session concluded with renewed calls for unity among OIC member states in addressing ongoing regional conflicts and humanitarian crises.
