AJK government appoints Shaukat Iqbal Dar as Honorary Media Co-Coordinator for Europe

Muzaffarabad, February 27, 2026: The Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has approved the appointment of Shaukat Iqbal Dar as Media Coordinator for Europe on an honorary basis.

According to an official notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat in Muzaffarabad on February 27, 2026, the approval was granted under Notification No. PMS/265/2026. The notification states that Mr. Dar, son of Abdul Jabbar Dar and a resident of Hounslow, Middlesex, United Kingdom, will serve in the honorary role to facilitate media coordination across European countries.

The appointment was formally endorsed by the Prime Minister of AJK Mr. Faisal Mumtaz Rathore and signed by the Deputy Secretary (Administration).

The move is seen as part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen outreach and media engagement with the Kashmiri diaspora and international stakeholders in Europe.
