Islamabad, March 1, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, to discuss the rapidly evolving regional situation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan (Office of the Spokesperson), the two leaders exchanged views on the current escalation and emphasized the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to contain tensions.
Both sides stressed the importance of promoting de-escalation and advancing peace and stability across the region, agreeing to remain in close contact as developments unfold.
