Manchester, March 4, 2026: Dr. Mohammad Faisal, High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom, inaugurated the newly refurbished and expanded Consular Hall at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Manchester.
The ceremony was attended by Ehsan ul Haq Bajwa, Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of the OPF Board, Member of Parliament Afzal Khan, Consul General Imtiaz Feroz Gondal, as well as community representatives and consulate officials.
Addressing the gathering, the High Commissioner emphasized that facilitating overseas Pakistanis remains a top priority for the Government of Pakistan. “The Consular Hall has been refurbished and extended to serve 100 more visitors daily,” he said, highlighting that this is the first major renovation at the Manchester Consulate since 1996.
The expansion allows the Consular Hall to accommodate an average of 300 people daily, catering to services including NADRA, immigration, and visa processing. The refurbishment aims to improve efficiency and provide a more comfortable experience for the growing number of Pakistanis visiting the consulate.
This upgrade reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to supporting its diaspora and enhancing consular services abroad.
