Pakistan congratulates Kazakhstan on successful constitutional referendum

Islamabad, March 16, 2026: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated the leadership and people of Kazakhstan on the successful holding of the country’s constitutional referendum.

In a message addressed to Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Tokayev, President Zardari commended the strong participation of the people of Kazakhstan and the broad support expressed for the referendum.

He said the outcome reflects the confidence of Kazakh citizens in the continued progress and development of their country.

The president reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Kazakhstan and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both nations.

He also emphasised that Pakistan highly values its close and brotherly ties with Kazakhstan, which are rooted in mutual respect, shared aspirations for peace and development, and a longstanding tradition of constructive cooperation.
