Kamran Michael congratulates Isphanyar Bhandara on parliamentary committee nomination

Islamabad, March 16, 2026: Former senator Kamran Michael, accompanied by Advocate Waheed Javed, Coordinator of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Punjab (Minorities), called on Isphanyar Bhandara in Islamabad to discuss matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Kamran Michael congratulated Bhandara on his nomination by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as a member of the parliamentary committee tasked with the appointment of the chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities Rights.

The participants also exchanged views on issues concerning minority communities and discussed expectations from the newly constituted commission in safeguarding minority rights and representation.

In a separate meeting, Captain (Retd) Babar Bernard Massey, Secretary General of the Pathfinder Interfaith Harmony Initiative, also met Isphanyar Bhandara to extend his congratulations.

The discussion focused on community matters and the importance of ensuring that minority perspectives are adequately reflected in national decision-making processes.
