Islamabad, April 8, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation on Wednesday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the latest developments in the region.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation amid ongoing tensions.
During the call, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomatic engagement as a means to de-escalate conflicts and foster peace. He also shared updates on Islamabad’s ongoing efforts aimed at advancing stability in the Middle East and the wider region.
Both sides emphasised the importance of sustained diplomatic coordination and reaffirmed their shared resolve to support peaceful initiatives.
