Islamabad, April 9, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, received a telephone call from Yvette Cooper of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office to discuss recent developments in the Middle East.
During the conversation, Foreign Secretary Cooper expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s instrumental role in facilitating the recent ceasefire and paid tribute to Islamabad for its diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. She reaffirmed the UK’s support for Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives aimed at sustaining regional de-escalation.
Both leaders highlighted the strength of bilateral relations between Pakistan and United Kingdom and committed to further enhancing cooperation across diplomatic and strategic fronts.
