Islamabad, April 13, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and senior officers of the Ministry to acknowledge their efforts during the recently held diplomatic engagement known as the Islamabad Talks.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the “hard work, commitment, and professionalism” demonstrated by the ministry team in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States.
He noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic facilitation played a constructive role in enabling communication between the two sides at a critical time, contributing to efforts aimed at de-escalation and regional stability.
The meeting highlighted Pakistan’s broader diplomatic engagement strategy, with officials emphasizing that the Islamabad Talks represented an important step toward encouraging constructive dialogue, confidence-building, and peaceful resolution of disputes.
The Foreign Minister reiterated appreciation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team, stating that their coordination and professionalism helped reinforce Pakistan’s role as a facilitator of dialogue in complex international situations.
The session concluded with renewed commitment to continue supporting diplomatic initiatives that promote peace, stability, and multilateral engagement in the region.
