Islamabad, April 20, 2026: The Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan, Alexandra Berg von Linde, held a meeting with prominent religious scholar Maulana Yousuf Qureshi in Islamabad, where both sides engaged in a meaningful exchange on interreligious dialogue.
During the meeting, Maulana Qureshi, affiliated with Jamia Ashrafia Peshawar, and the Swedish envoy discussed the importance of promoting interfaith harmony and fostering religious tolerance in diverse societies.
The two also emphasized the critical need to uphold women’s rights and ensure equal access to education for both girls and boys, highlighting education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and social cohesion.
