Pakistan, UK discuss regional stability; Islamabad’s role in US-Iran talks praised

Islamabad, April 22, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday held a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, where both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

During the meeting, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued role in facilitating engagement between key stakeholders, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for the peaceful resolution of disputes in the region.

The British High Commissioner acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in helping bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table, expressing support for Islamabad’s facilitative efforts.

The interaction reflects ongoing diplomatic coordination between Pakistan and the United Kingdom amid shifting regional dynamics.
