Islamabad, April 24, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to review evolving regional and global dynamics.

The meeting was attended by Amna Baloch and senior officials of the Foreign Office, focusing on key geopolitical developments and Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement strategy.

During the session, Dar underscored the importance of dialogue in addressing regional challenges, particularly in the context of rising geopolitical tensions.

He directed officials to ensure proactive and sustained diplomatic engagement on all priority issues, signalling Islamabad’s intent to remain actively involved in regional and international diplomacy.

The meeting formed part of ongoing internal consultations aimed at aligning Pakistan’s foreign policy responses with rapidly changing global and regional circumstances.

Officials briefed the deputy prime minister on current developments, while discussions also covered avenues to enhance Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and role in promoting stability through dialogue.

The review comes at a time of heightened regional activity, with Pakistan increasingly engaged in facilitating diplomatic efforts and maintaining balanced relations with key global stakeholders.
