Washington/California, April 27, 2026: California gubernatorial candidate Mohammad Arif has strongly condemned the recent shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, terming the incident “dangerous and wrong.”

In a statement issued on Monday, Arif expressed relief that no major casualties were reported. “Whatever happened was a very dangerous and wrong act. We thank God that all Americans are safe and no one was seriously hurt,” he said.

He described the attack as a criminal act and called for strict action against the perpetrator. “This is a criminal act by the gunman, who should be punished by the U.S. justice system,” he added.

Arif also expressed solidarity with the American people, offering prayers for their safety. “We all pray for the safety of our fellow Americans,” he said.
