Lahore, May 7,2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday unveiled the schedule for Australia’s upcoming three-match ODI series in Pakistan, with the visitors set to arrive in Islamabad on May 23 ahead of the opening fixture later this month.

The first ODI will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on May 30, while the remaining two matches are scheduled for June 2 and June 4 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

All three matches will begin at 4:30pm local time, with the toss set for 4pm.

Australia are expected to travel without several senior white-ball players due to overlapping commitments in the Indian Premier League, whose regular season concludes on May 24 before the final in Ahmedabad on May 31.

Players whose franchises fail to qualify for the playoffs could still become available for the Pakistan tour.

Among those likely to join earlier are Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis of Lucknow Super Giants, along with Cameron Green from Kolkata Knight Riders.

Meanwhile, Cooper Connolly, Xavier Bartlett and Ben Dwarshuis of Punjab Kings, as well as Matthew Short of Chennai Super Kings, may instead link up with the squad later ahead of Australia’s Bangladesh tour.

Australia are also expected to rest ODI captain Pat Cummins, alongside fellow pace bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, for both the Pakistan and Bangladesh series.

Travis Head is also reportedly set to prioritise Australia’s upcoming home Test series against Bangladesh later this year.

With Lucknow Super Giants struggling in the IPL, Mitchell Marsh could potentially resume Australia’s ODI captaincy duties in Cummins’ absence, while Josh Inglis is also considered a contender for the stand-in role.

The series will mark Australia’s first ODI tour of Pakistan since March-April 2022, when Pakistan secured a 2-1 victory in the three-match series.

Earlier this year, Australia toured Pakistan for a T20I series, where Pakistan completed a 3-0 whitewash at Gaddafi Stadium.

Australia also featured in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, defeating England by five wickets in Lahore on February 22.

Series schedule

  • May 23 — Australia arrive in Islamabad
  • May 30 — First ODI, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
  • June 2 — Second ODI, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • June 4 — Third ODI, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
