Mirpur, May 7,2026: The official trophy for the upcoming two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh was unveiled on Thursday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium ahead of the opening fixture of the ICC World Test Championship cycle.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood and Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto jointly unveiled the silverware and posed for photographs with the trophy at the venue.

The two-match series, part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, will begin on May 8 in Mirpur, with the first Test scheduled to run until May 12.

The second Test will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from May 16 to 20.

Bangladesh currently occupy eighth place in the World Test Championship standings after registering one defeat and one draw from their opening two Tests. The Tigers have accumulated four points with a points percentage of 16.67.

Pakistan, meanwhile, sit fifth on the table after recording one victory and one defeat in their opening two matches. The Green Shirts have earned 12 points with a 50 percent points percentage.

The two sides last met in a Test series in August 2024, when Bangladesh stunned Pakistan with a historic 2-0 clean sweep — their first-ever away Test series victory against the Green Shirts.
