Islamabad, May 8,2026: Philippine Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez and his economic diplomacy team met with representatives of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to explore new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between the Philippines and Pakistan.
The discussion focused on RCCI’s plan to bring a business delegation to the Philippines covering key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, furniture, auto parts, agriculture, halal and processed foods, gemstones, cosmetics, and tourism services.
Both sides exchanged views on how to better connect businesses, improve market access, and align the visit with major trade expos and regulatory engagements in the Philippines to maximize impact.
The Embassy continues to work with partners in both countries to strengthen economic ties, promote investment opportunities, and support practical business-to-business cooperation.
