Islamabad, May 8,2026: The Ministry of Interior has strongly rejected reports circulating in sections of the media and on social media regarding the alleged targeted deportation of Pakistani nationals from the United Arab Emirates, terming such claims “malafide” and part of a “vicious propaganda campaign.”

In an official statement issued on Friday, the ministry said it had reviewed the available data and details concerning the matter and found that no country-specific or sect-based deportation campaign was being carried out by the UAE or any other country against Pakistani nationals.

The ministry clarified that deportations, where they occur, are part of routine legal and administrative procedures undertaken in accordance with the host country’s immigration laws, visa regulations and legal framework. These cases, it said, generally involve issues such as visa violations, overstaying or illegal documentation.

The statement emphasized that Pakistani nationals who meet visa and employment requirements continue to travel to and obtain work visas for the UAE and other friendly countries without discrimination or prejudice.

The Interior Ministry further stated that misleading reports and social media posts suggesting otherwise were “malicious and fabricated” and appeared to be aimed at serving ulterior motives.

It added that any issues involving Pakistani citizens abroad are addressed on a case-to-case basis through established diplomatic and foreign office channels with the concerned country.

The ministry urged the public and media outlets to avoid spreading unverified information and to rely on official statements regarding matters involving overseas Pakistanis and bilateral relations with friendly countries.
