Islamabad, August 10, 2026: The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad has launched an initiative aimed at developing the first generation of Pakistani opera singers, offering aspiring vocalists an opportunity to receive professional training in opera singing.
Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Dan Stoenescu announced the initiative on Monday, inviting vocalists of all levels to participate in the Opera Singing Courses being offered in Islamabad.
The courses are open to both beginners and experienced opera enthusiasts, providing participants with a dynamic learning environment under professional guidance. The initiative seeks to promote vocal arts and introduce more Pakistani performers to the classical tradition of opera.
According to the course details, classes will be held every Wednesday and Friday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.
Participants must be at least 14 years old. Those under the age of 14 may also participate in foundational vocal training designed to develop basic singing and vocal skills.
The Embassy of Romania said the initiative represents an effort to promote cultural cooperation between Romania and Pakistan while providing Pakistani vocalists with opportunities to develop their artistic abilities in opera singing.
