Islamabad, November 8,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has paid tribute to National Poet and Philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his birth anniversary, describing his vision as the ideological foundation of an independent Pakistan.

In his message on Iqbal Day, Ishaq Dar said the nation marked the occasion with profound respect for the great philosopher whose ideas and poetry gave direction to the aspirations of millions of Muslims in the subcontinent.

He said that through his historic Allahabad Address of 1930 and timeless poetry, Allama Iqbal articulated the distinct identity of the Muslims of the subcontinent and envisioned a separate homeland where they could shape their own destiny.

He described Iqbal as the visionary who set in motion the intellectual and political movement that ultimately led to the creation of Pakistan, providing a homeland where the people’s values, faith and democratic aspirations could flourish.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Iqbal’s concepts of Khudi (selfhood) and self-reliance remained essential pillars of Pakistan’s national journey.

He observed that in an evolving global environment, Iqbal’s philosophy reminded the nation that its true strength lay in moral integrity, intellectual independence and the resilience of its people.

Highlighting the relevance of Iqbal’s message for young people, Ishaq Dar said his teachings continued to inspire the youth to aspire higher, embrace innovation and lead with confidence and purpose.

He urged the nation to renew its commitment to building a progressive, peaceful and prosperous Pakistan in line with Iqbal’s vision, where justice, equality and the rule of law remained guiding principles.

The Deputy Prime Minister concluded his message with the slogan, “Pakistan Zindabad.”
