Marka-e-Haq anniversary: ICCI pays glowing tribute to political and military leadership

Islamabad, May 10,2026: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sardar Tahir Mehmood, Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub and Vice President Muhammad Irfan Chaudhry have paid glowing tribute to the political and military leadership of Pakistan on the first anniversary of ” Marka-e- Haq” describing it as a historic symbol of national unity, courage and unwavering commitment to the defence and sovereignty of the country.

In a joint statement issued here on Sunday, the ICCI leadership paid rich homage to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the top military leadership, particularly Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf for their visionary leadership, strategic wisdom and steadfast dedication to safeguarding the nation’s integrity and security.

The ICCI office-bearers stated that “Marka -e-Haq” would always be remembered as a glorious chapter in Pakistan’s history that united the entire nation under one flag and demonstrated the unmatched professionalism, bravery and preparedness of the armed forces of Pakistan.

President ICCI Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that the anniversary of “ Marka-e- Haq” is a proud reminder of the sacrifices rendered by the martyrs and ghazis for the defence of the motherland. He remarked that the courageous leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the coordinated role of all armed forces significantly enhanced the confidence and morale of the nation.

Senior Vice President Tahir Ayub said that Pakistan’s armed forces have once again proven that the defence of the country is in safe hands.

 He added that the unity shown by the political and military leadership during difficult circumstances reflected the true strength of Pakistan.

Vice President Muhammad Irfan Chaudhry stated that the business community highly values the sacrifices and services of the armed forces and remains fully committed to contributing towards economic stability and national progress. He emphasized that strong defence and strong economy are interconnected pillars of a prosperous Pakistan.

The ICCI leadership also prayed for the continued progress, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and reiterated the business community’s complete solidarity with the armed forces and national institutions in all efforts aimed at ensuring peace, security and development of the country.
