Islamabad, May 12, 2026: Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic blast that took place at a Chingchi stand near the railway crossing on GT Road in the Sarai Naurang area of Lakki Marwat.

Strongly condemning the heinous incident, the Chairman Senate expressed deep condolences over the loss of precious human lives. He particularly mourned the martyrdom of two traffic police personnel along with women and children who lost their lives in the devastating explosion.

In his statement, Gilani extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and said that those targeting innocent civilians were enemies of humanity. He added that such cowardly acts could not weaken the resolve and spirit of the nation.

The Chairman Senate directed the concerned authorities to ensure immediate and the best possible medical treatment for the injured and prayed for their swift recovery. He further stated that the entire nation stands united with the affected families during this difficult time.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyrs, patience and strength for the grieving families, and complete recovery of those injured in the incident.
