Karachi, May 12, 2026: Pakistan batter Ayesha Zafar created history on Tuesday by smashing a sensational unbeaten century against Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team in the first T20I at the National Bank Stadium.
Batting at number three, Ayesha walked to the crease with Pakistan at 23/1 in just 1.5 overs and launched a dominant assault on the Zimbabwe bowling attack.
She reached her maiden Women’s T20 International century on the final ball of the innings by striking Zimbabwe captain Nomvelo Sibanda for a boundary through the mid-wicket region.
Ayesha remained unbeaten on 102 off only 47 deliveries, hammering 15 fours and two sixes in a remarkable innings that powered Pakistan women’s national cricket team to 237/5 — their highest-ever total in Women’s T20Is.
Pakistan’s previous highest score in the format was 181/4 against South Africa women’s national cricket team in 2024.
With her century, Ayesha became only the second Pakistani batter to score a century in Women’s T20 Internationals, joining teammate Muneeba Ali, who has achieved the milestone twice.
Her unbeaten 102 also equalled the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter in Women’s T20Is, matching Muneeba Ali’s record.
The century was additionally the fastest ever by a Pakistani batter in Women’s T20 Internationals, coming in just 47 balls. The previous record was also held by Muneeba Ali, who had taken 66 deliveries to score her maiden hundred during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.
Ayesha’s explosive innings has now become one of the most memorable batting performances in Pakistan women’s cricket history.
