Islamabad, May 16,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Bakhtiyor Saidov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, the Foreign Office said on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations, regional connectivity, and multilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, Foreign Minister Saidov appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in mediation efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and security.
Both sides also agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on key regional and international issues.
The discussion reflects the growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Uzbekistan as the two countries seek to strengthen cooperation in trade, connectivity, and regional stability.
