Islamabad, May 20, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday presented a resolution in the Senate titled “Re-affirming China-Pakistan Friendship and Brotherhood” to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the resolution was unanimously adopted by the Senate of Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Ishaq Dar extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of both countries on the historic milestone, stating that Pakistan-China relations, anchored in mutual trust, respect, and shared aspirations, have steadily strengthened over the past 75 years.

He said the longstanding partnership between the two countries continues to serve as a cornerstone of regional peace, stability, and development.

The deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation across political, economic, strategic, and people-to-people domains. He also highlighted the shared resolve of both nations to carry forward their “iron-clad friendship” for future generations.

Pakistan and China established diplomatic relations in 1951 and have since maintained close cooperation in diverse fields, including trade, infrastructure development, defence, and regional connectivity.
